Cordiem
eSource was the lifeblood of Cordiem and the airline buy/sell personnel that used it. This online “parts catalog” hosted millions of items from thousands of sources. Information included product details with usage tracing. Line details would also expand on the screen to display hidden detailed information and links.

Portal Engine
VerticalNet, Inc. was the first B2B web based company. The initial focus was to rapidly create industry specific portals. Over 57 industries were launched the first two years using a design/interface generation program that was built entirely with MS ASP and fostered one of the leading dynamic portal applications of its day.

57 Industry Portals
VerticalNet created 57 portals for numerous industries. The challenge here was to develop an automated yet branded solution that would work throughout the offering and allow VerticalNet to rapidly produce new vertical marketplaces. Here, the portal home page and an individual vendor catalog share the same look and feel with the vendor’s logo prominently displayed on the Catalog.

Maximized Screen Usage
eSource offered its own particular set of challenges because of the complicated nature of airline purchases. The consumer side of the industry became deregulated several years past. However, the opposite was true with the purchase of parts for airlines. Layers of regulated parts information had to be interjected into the sort and search for parts. This product employed DHTML pop-up rows within search results to maximize screen real estate. Just one of the reason's why this product’s release was so embraced by the industry.
