Education/Papers
PENNSYLVANIA
ACADEMY OF THE FINE ARTS
Located at Broad and Cherry streets in central downtown
Philadelphia, the
Academy is the oldest institute of fine arts education
in the United States and offers a variety
of curriculum. Its distinguished faculty has always
represented the avant-garde while supporting the traditional
values and approaches to art and design, painting and
sculpture.
Numerous
scholarships and student awards with the exception of
my starting semester funded my tuition. I received two
European traveling scholarships for overall achievement
and the coveted Thomas Eakins award for figure painting.
The
ability to create balanced compositions, intuitive designs
and a general appreciation of visual aesthetics (as
well as instilling work ethic to see all work to its
completion) has proven invaluable in all my endeavors.
