Hired
to direct User Interface group within the Technology
department at Cordiem. Reported directly to CTO and
worked closely with VP of Marketing to design, develop
and maintain branded interface for B2B applications,
industry portal and company website.
Work
included site design, brand, business presentations
graphics, website graphics, as well as banner ads and
all that company’s collateral materials.
Worked
closely with programmers to develop dynamic pages and
UI automation using numerous technologies. Minimized
click-through with increased user comprehension and
usability; while working closely with Sales and Customer
Care through feedback and customer facing UI presentations,
including focus groups, beta seminars and high lever
advisory councils with industry experts, initial staff
of five reports.
Extended
brand into collateral materials while working with marketing
personnel.
Cordiem
was funded by major airlines and was forced to cease
operations on February 28th, 2003. |

VerticalNet,
a premium B2B Internet solutions provider, hired me
as their Director of User Interface (new position).
Duties included the start-up of the User Interface and
usability group who created and maintained UI, web design
and branding elements for 57 online communities.
My
group had responsibility for online artwork and web
graphic creation, including business graphics, support
materials, branding and third party branding.
I
designed and managed design elements for implementation
of site (dynamic portal automation) and application
interfaces. Established and wrote visual guidelines
for all of development while working closely with technology
and product management personnel. Authored two
U.S. Patents for unique internet processes.
VerticalNet
decided to sell its 57 portals along with the use of
their name and moved exclusively to b2b software development.
